Many local movies have been released during the Chinese New Year holiday. Vic Chou’s “New Perfect Two” has already reached 10 million TWD at the box office after just four days. “Black & White Episode I: The Dawn of Assault” starring Mark Chao has grossed 40 million TWD after eleven days of release.
Due to the popularity of the movie, some netizens on PTT have even started a thread to discuss “who should go see Black & White”. They commented that those who have not seen the original TV serial will enjoy its high quality action and special effects, but others said that “the movie was like watered-down coffee.”

Since Vic isn’t in the “Black & White” movie, some fans have decided not to watch, “Because Vic isn’t in it, so I don’t want to watch the prequel. I want to support ‘New Perfect Two’!” Many netizens have also praised, “Many parts are funny, while it also has emotional and touching parts.”
