Guey Lun-Mei, Joseph Chang, and Rhydian Vaughan dressed in 90’s fashion to film the upcoming movie, “女朋友.男朋友” (Girlfriend, Boyfriend). Rhydian even donned a wig to led a group of students for protesting. He laughed, “When I was in university, I did an experiment. I didn’t wash my hair for five weeks, and my hair became smoother and smoother.”
“Girlfriend” was filming in front of the National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. They hired five hundred extras to act as protesting students; they even prepared ten police cars, barricades, and other anti-riot equipments. Twenty hoisting machines were on standby and a rain machine to create a pouring rain scene. The filming caught many bystanders’ attention who thought that a real protest was going on. CG will be added in post production to make it seem like ten thousand people were protesting.
Rhydian will be playing a character who comes between Joseph and Guey Lun-Mei. When Guey Lun-Mei was asked which of the two guys she liked more, she said, “I’d like to combine them because I like both...one that can be active and quiet.”
