Van Ness Wu wants to pick up groceries in 007 style

Van Ness Wu was invited by Jaeger-LeCoutre to model their Amvox2 DBS Transponder watch, which was especially designed for Aston Martin DBS owners. Unlike traditional car keys, a DBS owner can now lock or unlock their car door with the watch, and then walk (in slow-mo) towards their car like 007 without fishing for those silly keys.

Van Ness Wu looked like an Asian 007 in his white suit standing beside the ultra luxurious car. He said he would be very interested to play the character, because “being able to drive in high speed is a lot of fun.” However, playing 007 means he will be surrounded by women, doesn’t that go against his faith? He said, “That depends on the script.” He played with the watch many times and even joked, “Going out for groceries like this, there will be no need for car keys.”

The grocery shopping 007 isn't exactly what most people have in mind, so host Dennis Nieh quickly said, “007 can quickly get into his car when he's chased by criminals.” Van Ness Wu added, “Or when being chased by paparazzi.”

Van Ness Wu revealed that he likes to collect watches, with design and functionality as the main focuses. His most expensive watch up to now cost several hundred thousands. At the event yesterday, Van Ness was fully dressed in Gucci, but he wasn’t satisfied with the shoes the organizers arranged for him, so he wore his own sneakers. A reporter asked him if he has gotten his eyes done recently. He repeated several times that hasn’t had any surgery, and said “the body given by God should not be easily altered.”

Hebe pays a moving tribute to her late friend

A female colleague of Hebe passed away last year on the day of her birthday due to heart problems. A charity concert was held 2 nights ago in memory of her late friend. Hebe chose 16 songs for the performance, but she was overcome by tears when she sang “Love”. She re-sang the song again during the encore and said, “Don’t suppose I was hurt in love just because I cried. I’m a queen, only other people would get hurt by me.”

Despite her comment, the charity concert was still filled with “love”. Hebe said, “When (I) first chose the songs, I only wanted to save money, like something with simple arrangements, and can be performed with 2 guitars. (I) didn’t expect the musicians, makeup and hair stylists would all be sponsored.” Ella joined her on stage to harmonize for her, and said Hebe is a great friend. Selina made her entrance later to collaborate on the song “Scarf”.

The concert raised NT$380,000 from the 600 tickets sold minus the cost of rent. The money will be donated to the Cardiac Children’s Foundation.

Harlem Yu says no, no and no to getting back with his ex

In contrast to the recent news of a possible reconciliation, Harlem Yu refuted the rumors and said not once, but three times, that he and ex-wife Annie Yi are not getting back together.

When asked about the rumored reconciliation text messages that his ex-wife had sent him, he immediately said, “There is no reconciliation.” Reporters asked again, “Then have you been in touch with Harry’s mom?” Harlem repeated the same answer. He was then asked,  “Will Harry’s mom go to your concert”, Harlem didn’t bother responding and said, “Next question!”

Harlem Yu will take the stage at the Taipei Arena on April 10th for his concert. He has been building up his muscles by working out for two hours everyday. His recent diet consists of tuna boiled in water, plain-cooked meat, and green vegetables, “My only seasoning is green onion, it tastes awful.”

Fortunately, 90% of the tickets have been sold, Harlem said, “There will be some adjustments with the opening, (I) will fly to the stage. The content and selection of songs have been changed drastically. The favorite songs of my die-hard fans will be added.”
