KAT-TUN's Ueda Tatsuya performs with a cast on his left leg

KAT-TUN completed their two concerts at the Taipei Arena on the 27th and 28th. On the first night, member Ueda Tatsuya landed on the wrong foot when he jumped down from a 3 meter high platform, which he was rushed to the hospital right after and the concert continued with the remaining group members. Ueda Tatsuya returned to the stage on the second night and performed with a cast on his left leg. He even comforted the fans, “I’ve made everyone worried. My injury is not as serious as what the Japanese media has reported.”

The group announced that they will return to Taiwan again next year to hold another concert. With Akanishi Jin going solo and Ueda Tatsuya injured, Kamenashi Kazuya expressed, “(I) have a stronger feeling of responsibility. Regardless if it’s us (the group) or Akanishi, we all need to continue to work hard.”

1985 – Nishikiori Kazukiyo of Shonentai sprained his leg after jumping down from platform while doing a charity performance at the Chungwha Arena.

2002 – During his concert at the Hua Fan University, Hong Kong singer Eason Chan lost his footing and fell from the stage, hitting his right thigh and one of his testicles.
