Summer's Desire stays in 2nd and Jiro Wang's variety make its debut

Another week went by with P.S. Man as the top-rated of Idol drama again. The SETTV series actually dropped slightly but still easily won the ratings battle with 4.31%. Coming in 2n place was Summer’s Desire with 1.55%, which rose slightly from last week but still far from making a dent on P.S. Man.

The real battle is for last place as Scent of Love found itself in the bottom with 0.65%, while Calling for Love moved back to third with 0.72%. Interestingly, both dramas have yet to break 1% since they debuted.

The highly-competitive Saturday night variety programming was joined by Jacky Wu’s Super King (綜藝大國民) last week. It drew 1.66% and was last in its time slot behind FTV’s Super Star (明日之星), TTV’s One Million Singer (百萬大歌星) and CTV’s Variety Big Brother (綜藝大哥大).

Super King’s debut was still an improvement for CTS from its predecessor Taiwan Good. In addition to Jacky Wu, the show also features 4 other hosts including Frankie Huang, Jiro Wang, Tony Sun and Zax Wang. The big combo was noticeably overwhelming the show as everyone tried to make themselves heard early on. It remains to be seen if CTS will trim down the number of hosts if it doesn’t move up in the ratings soon.
