[Video] English subbed Hsiao Hung Jen's I'm a stray dog MV

Last year’s Golden Melody Best Newcomer nominee Hsiao Hung Jen recently released the new song, “I’m a stray dog,” on his blog. Hsiao Hung Jen revealed that the inspiration came from helping his friend take care of his Sausage Dog, “Qin Qin.” After spending some time with the dog, he decided to write this song in Qin Qin’s perspective and spent a hundred thousand dollars (NT) to film the MV.

The song is about stray dogs and Hsiao Hung Jen commented, “It was the hardest to film in the night market because there were a lot of people so there were many distractions (for Qin Qin), which is also the reason why there are so many stray dogs. I hope that everyone can remember the joy and commitment in the beginning before letting their dog go.” The MV has been well praised on his blog and YouTube, where netizens expressed about feeling touched to see the camera angles at ground level, successfully portraying the helplessness and struggles that a dog faces.

Hsiao Hung Jen’s third album is set to release in May. He expressed that he got many inspirations in writing his music being accompanied by a dog. Although his MV asks everyone not to abandon their dog and he encourages everyone to adopt stray dogs, he bought his dog at a pet shop.
